Introduction

Hi! My name is Sarah and this is a blog that, for the time being, is going to track my artistic evolution in the Digital Photography class I am taking right now.

Firstly, this is me:


Or at least the most recent picture I have of myself. My hair has since grown a little bit longer and is a stronger red than in that picture.

My photography interests lie primarily in fashion and glamor photography. I am a cosplayer and want to be able to take photos of both my costumes and my friends'. A good example of this type of photography is actually from a shoot I did with Molly McIsaac a couple of months ago. I was cosplaying the character Bayonetta from the Bayonetta video game:

I would love to be able to work towards the skill and artistic quality of two of my favorite photographers, WinterWolf Studios and Hakan Celebi. I also have a very strong interest in artistic nudes and the glamor of the female body. This site has a number of absolutely amazing pieces in that vein (Warning: NSFW).

I also want to have a solid knowledge in digital photography for use in the design of my company website. I run a small, just-me clothing and accessory company and I sell the items I make at anime conventions. I want to eventually make my business entirely web-based, but all the stock photos of my products and models I need to take myself to adhere to proper web photo policies (and just keep it easy on me legally!).

I hope to update this blog with my photos as I learn how to use my Canon 40D and CS4 better.
